(Austin.CityRegions.Com, December 21, 2015 ) Austin, TX -- OneTweak recently launched their debut product, a wearable pedometer. OneTweak pedometers feature advanced 3D tri-axis technology to accurately count the number of daily steps. It also tracks calories, miles, and times and stores these metrics for up to 30 days. The pedometer can be worn around the neck, on the hip or belt, or in/on a pocket. The extra-large display screen is designed to be easy to read at a glance while walking.
"Our goal is to offer motivation for kids, ‘oldsters,' and everyone in between to walk more and sit less," said OneTweak CEO, Jan Brauner. "I don't think it is hyperbole to say that a pedometer can be life-changing IF it motivates someone to walk."
Brauner, who used to spend up to sixteen hours per day on a computer, credits the OneTweak pedometer with making dramatically positive changes in her life. "I began walking originally to test pedometers for our company. Soon, I walked because walking made me feel so good. I now walk 10,000-20,000 steps daily. My legs thank me. My veins thank me. Even my mood thanks me. You might say walking ‘tweaked' my life immeasurably."
Brauner calls the OneTweak pedometer "simple innovation." The OneTweak pedometer's simple precision design purposely does not have an online interface. "We are already a couch-potato nation," she said. "Pedometers should get us OFF the couch, not on it with a laptop viewing our activity metrics and comparing them with others. Our pedometer is simple…like walking."
Brauner noted that they launched the OneTweak pedometer on Amazon, but hope to launch on Shopify soon. "After that, who knows?" she said. "The sky's the limit!"
